So here we are, nearing the end of October and still in the mids of this crazy Covid time.

My maternity leave went by in a flash and I’m now back at work with life more chaotic than ever before… (and yes it was pretty hectic before!)

So what does mamma bear decide to do… Enter a Hunter Trials of course!

I have never ridden xc and Biscuit has never jumped a course of show jumps let alone a course of xc fences! Besides that, I gave ourselves 3 weeks of preparation time.

Biscuit took to it like a duck to water popping our homemade xc jumps that were built down the grass verge of our driveway.

Turns out our trip to Gleneagles was a success! We jumped clear round everything, however, Biscuit did not want to get his feet wet so we had to bypass the water and continue the rest of the course. We had the best fun and I can’t wait to do something like it again.

This weekend we are heading off to do some dressage then next on the cards is Opening Meet with the Lanark and Renfrewshire Foxhounds… think I’ve caught the xc bug!
